Role Overview
We are looking for a highly operational Engagement Manager who thrive in complex, fast-paced environments. This is not just a relationship role-it's about owning the execution. You will run point on everything: coordinating across product teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure flawless delivery of outcomes. From retrieval to coding, in-home assessments, compliance reporting, and performance tracking, you will be the operational backbone driving client success.
This role requires someone who can roll up their sleeves, manage multiple moving parts, and deliver results without fail. You will be accountable for multi-million-dollar accounts, ensuring every detail is executed to perfection.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the client success lifecycle: from onboarding through delivery and ongoing performance management.
- Act as the operational quarterback, coordinating across internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to keep projects on track.
- Manage retrieval-to-coding workflows, in-home assessments, compliance reporting, and ensure timely execution of all deliverables.
- Drive measurable outcomes tied to risk adjustment, quality measures, and revenue optimization.
- Handle account operations, including invoicing, service valuation, and ROI reporting.
- Lead status updates, executive communications, and ensure polished, professional client interactions.
- Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions before they escalate.
- Maintain self-sufficiency in managing accounts worth $4-5M ARR-no hand-holding, no missed deadlines.
- Provide strategic insights to clients on Medicare Advantage, risk adjustment, and value-based care best practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in highly operational roles such as Engagement Manager, Program Manager, or Customer Success Manager.
- Consulting background (preferred) with strong execution and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage large accounts ($4-5M ARR) and deliver outcomes under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational skills: status tracking, Excel reporting, and operational rigor.
- Deep understanding of Medicare Advantage, risk adjustment, and health plan operations.
- Experience in Insurtech or Health Tech companies serving Value-Based Care (VBC) and risk adjustment (e.g., Clover, Oscar, Advantasure, HealthEdge).
- Ability to listen, ask the right questions, and communicate effectively with senior leaders (CEO, COO) and operational directors.
- Highly polished in email and executive presentations, with strong stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable being the go-to operator-someone who can jump in, figure it out, and get it done.
