Senior Associate/VP
Position: Director, Client Services
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
A diversified credit hedge fund is seeking a senior client service professional to join its lean and dynamic team. This Director-level role will focus on managing institutional client relationships across the firm's credit strategies, with a particular emphasis on private credit. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, versatile contributor who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable wearing multiple hats.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for institutional clients, ensuring timely and thoughtful communication across accounts
- Maintain and deepen key relationships by keeping stakeholders informed on portfolio updates, performance, and strategic developments
- Partner closely with investment, product specialist, and operations teams to support client needs, including case studies, talking points, and ad hoc requests
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, given the lean team structure, including marketing, reporting, and investor communications
- Support client meetings, diligence processes, and customized requests with a high degree of professionalism and responsiveness
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-4 years in a client-facing role
- Strong understanding of credit markets; private credit experience preferred
- Proven ability to manage institutional relationships and communicate complex investment concepts clearly
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Rolodex not required-relationship management and execution are key
