Risk Analyst - Leading Asset Manager
Our client is a leading asset manager with multi-asset focus across public markets. With an expanding risk function in Singapore, the firm is looking to strengthen its capability in portfolio risk monitoring, analytics, and data-driven reporting.
As part of this growth, they are seeking a Risk Analyst to join the team. This is a hands-on, front-facing risk role supporting senior risk leadership, offering exposure to portfolio risk management, P&L analysis, and the development of risk reporting and infrastructure within a dynamic investment environment.
Responsibilities:
Support daily risk reporting, including P&L monitoring, drawdown analysis, and exposure/limit tracking
- Assist in identifying and monitoring market and portfolio risks across asset classes such as fixed income, FX, and derivatives
- Analyse financial data and market trends to highlight key risk drivers and potential vulnerabilities
- Work with internal systems to clean, organise, and validate risk data, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Prepare risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders
- Support the enhancement of risk models, analytics tools, and reporting frameworks
- Collaborate closely with investment, trading, and operations teams to ensure adherence to risk limits and controls
- Contribute to automation initiatives through tools such as Python or SQL to improve reporting efficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 2-5 years of experience in risk, finance, or analytical roles
- Basic understanding of financial markets and risk concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python or SQL is an advantage
- Comfortable working with data and developing technical skillsets over time
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proactive, curious, and keen to build a career in risk management within an investment setting
