Overview
This Associate role is an integral part of a real estate private equity team dedicated to acquiring, enhancing, and managing a diverse portfolio of properties across the United States. The team targets standing assets and seeks to unlock value through renovation, repositioning, re-tenanting, and selective development-primarily in supply‑constrained markets.

Position Summary
The Associate will contribute to the underwriting, acquisition, development, and asset management of real estate investments spanning industrial, multifamily, office, retail, hospitality, and other sectors. Core responsibilities include building financial models, conducting extensive market and asset‑level research, performing due diligence, and supporting ongoing oversight of existing investments. This position also provides a clear pathway to sourcing opportunities and developing strong industry relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive financial models for acquisitions and development opportunities, emphasizing value‑add and opportunistic strategies.
  • Lead and support asset‑level and market‑level due diligence efforts.
  • Analyze capital structures, business plans, risk factors, and sponsor capabilities.
  • Evaluate operational and physical attributes of potential investments.
  • Assess revenue streams, operating costs, capital needs, tenant creditworthiness, and lease terms.
  • Identify market demand drivers and compile intelligence through fieldwork and engagement with brokers, appraisers, and developers.
  • Produce forecasts for market rents, absorption trends, vacancies, and liquidity conditions.
  • Evaluate development partners and assess execution and delivery risk.
  • Present investment findings and recommendations to senior leadership and participate in investment committee meetings.
  • Assist with ongoing asset management, including financing, refinancing, and disposition processes.
  • Review and interpret legal documentation in partnership with internal teams and external counsel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline with strong academic credentials.
  • 2-4 years of experience in finance, ideally within real estate investment banking or private equity.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; ARGUS familiarity is advantageous.
  • Strong PowerPoint capabilities.
  • Highly driven, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and integrity.
