Rates RV Senior Portfolio Manager
An established hedge fund is looking to add a Rates Relative Value Portfolio Manager to its macro and fixed-income business.
The fund is open to investors trading across developed-market rates, including government bonds, swaps, curves, spreads, basis and cross-market opportunities. There is flexibility around the exact strategy, but the focus is on liquid relative-value approaches with limited reliance on outright market direction.
This could suit an existing Portfolio Manager or Sub-PM, as well as a high-performing sell-side trader who can demonstrate independent idea generation and genuine ownership of risk.
What they are looking for
- A strong and clearly attributable track record across developed-market rates
- Experience trading relative-value opportunities across bonds, swaps, curves, spreads or basis
- A repeatable process for identifying and expressing market dislocations
- Strong understanding of portfolio construction, hedging and position sizing
- Disciplined management of duration, event risk, liquidity and drawdowns
- Evidence that returns are driven by independent risk-taking rather than client flow
- An approach that can operate within a defined risk budget and scale with additional capital
- The ability to explain how the strategy has performed across different rates and volatility environments
The PM will join an established investment platform with meaningful capital, strong execution and risk infrastructure, and competitive P&L-linked compensation. There is scope to increase the allocation and add resources as performance develops.
The position can be based in London, Dubai or another major European financial hub.
