Property Claims Resolution Specialist

My client is hiring a seasoned Property Claims Resolution Specialist to oversee and resolve complex and contested property claims across the Texas market. This role is ideal for a claims professional with deep experience in managing disputes involving public adjusters, navigating the appraisal process, and handling litigated claims. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, strong negotiation skills, and a commitment to fair and timely resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the oversight and resolution of contested property claims, including those involving public adjusters, appraisals, and litigation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for complex claims in the Texas region, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal claims teams, legal counsel, and third-party vendors to drive efficient and equitable outcomes.
• Analyze claim files, coverage issues, and legal documents to develop resolution strategies.
• Participate in mediations, settlement conferences, and appraisal hearings as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely updates in claims systems, including Xactware platforms.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior claims staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience handling complex property claims, with a strong focus on contested and litigated matters.
• Proven expertise in working with public adjusters, the appraisal process, and litigation management.
• Proficiency in Xactware (Xactimate/XactAnalysis) is required.
• Strong knowledge of Texas insurance regulations and property claim practices.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with specialty or E&S carriers.
• Background in catastrophe or high-severity property losses.
• Adjuster license in Texas (or ability to obtain).
