Program Manager, Transplant Pricing & Reimbursement
We're partnering with a healthcare organization in the Dallas area that is looking to add a Program Manager focused specifically on Transplant Pricing & Reimbursement.
This is a specialized opportunity for someone who has direct experience working with the financial and reimbursement side of transplant contracts. The person stepping into this role will lead pricing and analytics for transplant agreements while helping shape reimbursement strategy across payer contracts, case rates, bundled arrangements, and evolving payment models.
Before Applying
Direct transplant pricing, reimbursement, contracting, or financial analysis experience is required for this position.
To be considered, candidates should have hands-on experience with the pricing, modeling, analysis, negotiation, or reimbursement strategy of transplant contracts.
General healthcare finance, managed care contracting, revenue cycle, or transplant program experience without direct exposure to transplant reimbursement or contract pricing will not be sufficient for this opportunity.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the pricing, modeling, and financial analysis of transplant contracts
- Develop and evaluate transplant reimbursement strategies across payer arrangements
- Analyze reimbursement methodologies including case rates, bundled arrangements, contract rates, and other transplant payment structures
- Evaluate existing transplant agreements to understand financial performance and identify opportunities to improve reimbursement
- Support the implementation of reimbursement strategies related to emerging transplant technologies, regulatory changes, and evolving payment models
- Partner with payers and external stakeholders around transplant contracts and reimbursement arrangements
- Work cross-functionally with contracting, finance, revenue cycle, operations, analytics, and clinical leadership
- Monitor performance of transplant reimbursement arrangements and surface actionable financial insights
- Serve as a subject-matter resource on transplant reimbursement models, contract strategy, and industry trends
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Direct professional experience with transplant pricing, reimbursement, contracting, or financial analysis
- Hands-on experience working with the financial/pricing components of transplant contracts
- Experience developing, evaluating, modeling, or supporting transplant reimbursement strategies
- Knowledge of one or more transplant payment structures such as case rates, bundled reimbursement arrangements, payer-specific pricing, contract modeling, or other reimbursement methodologies
- 4+ years of experience within healthcare reimbursement, financial analysis, decision support, contracting, pricing, or a related area
- Ability to analyze financial data and translate that analysis into recommendations around reimbursement or contract strategy
- Experience partnering across financial, contracting, operational, and/or clinical teams
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
Preferred:
- Experience with SQL and/or relational databases
- Experience working directly with commercial or government payers on transplant reimbursement arrangements
- Experience monitoring the financial performance of transplant contracts
- Background within a large health system, transplant center, health plan, transplant network, or healthcare consulting environment
Who Could Be a Strong Fit?
We are less concerned with your exact job title and more interested in the work you have actually done.
Relevant backgrounds could include:
- Transplant Reimbursement
- Transplant Contracting
- Transplant Finance
- Transplant Financial Analysis
- Managed Care Contracting
- Payer Contracting
- Healthcare Reimbursement
- Decision Support
- Contract Pricing & Modeling
- Transplant Program Finance
You do not need to currently hold a "Transplant Pricing Manager" title.
However, you do need to be able to speak directly to your experience working with transplant contracts from a pricing, reimbursement, contracting, or financial perspective
This Role Is Probably Not the Right Fit If:
- Your transplant experience is primarily clinical, nursing, patient care, transplant coordination, or clinical program management
- Your experience is primarily general FP&A or healthcare finance without exposure to transplant reimbursement
- You have managed healthcare contracts but have never specifically worked with transplant contracts or transplant reimbursement
- Your experience is primarily revenue cycle, claims, utilization management, or authorization without responsibility for contract pricing or reimbursement strategy
- Your bundled payment or value-based care experience has not included exposure to the transplant space
Why Consider It?
This role offers an opportunity to take meaningful ownership of the financial strategy behind a highly specialized area of healthcare.
Rather than simply administering existing contracts, you'll be directly involved in how transplant agreements are priced, modeled, evaluated, and reimbursed, while partnering across multiple areas of the organization.
The position is hybrid in the Dallas area, so candidates should be within commuting distance or open to relocating.
