Product Owner, Data & AI (VP Level)
Selby Jennings is working with a Leading Asset Manager looking to add a highly experienced Product Owner to lead the strategy and delivery of data-driven and AI-enabled products within a complex, regulated financial services environment. This individual will sit at the intersection of business, data, and technology, translating high-impact business problems into scalable data and AI solutions, supporting the growth of my client's mortgage servicing and loan lifecycle management product suite.
Responsibilities
- Own product vision, strategy, and roadmap for data and AI initiatives aligned to business goals
- Translate business needs into clear product requirements, KPIs, and measurable outcomes (efficiency, risk, revenue)
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across business, engineering, data, and governance teams
- Manage and prioritize product backlog, ensuring effective agile delivery across multiple teams
- Drive continuous improvement in data quality, workflows, and responsible AI deployment
Qualifications
- 10+ years in Product Management/Ownership
- 5+ years delivering data and AI products
- Strong mortgage domain expertise (loan lifecycle, secondary markets, securitization/trading)
- High data literacy (data quality, metrics, lineage, basic statistics) with ability to translate complex problems into solutions
- Agile development expereince
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in regulated or complex environments
