Private Equity VP
A private investment firm focused on lower middle-market investments is seeking a Vice President to play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investment opportunities. This individual will work closely with senior leadership on all aspects of the investment lifecycle, from deal origination and due diligence through portfolio value creation and exit execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate potential acquisition and investment opportunities across targeted industries.
- Lead financial analysis, valuation modeling, industry research, and investment due diligence efforts.
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and recommendations for internal decision-makers.
- Support transaction execution, including negotiations, financing processes, and coordination with external advisors.
- Partner with portfolio company management teams to drive operational improvements and strategic initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with investment bankers, business owners, intermediaries, lenders, and industry executives.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and assist with value creation initiatives.
Ideal Background
- 5-10+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, or a related investment role.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
- Experience evaluating and executing mergers, acquisitions, recapitalizations, or growth investments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with management teams and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to contribute beyond traditional deal execution responsibilities.
