A leading global private credit and direct lending firm is seeking a Private Credit Associate to join its growing London team. The Role
The Associate will play a key role in the evaluation, execution and monitoring of private credit investments across the UK and Europe. The position offers hands‑on exposure to deal underwriting, due diligence, credit structuring and portfolio management within a highly collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed financial modelling, credit analysis and valuation for new investment opportunities.
- Support the end‑to‑end underwriting process, including due diligence, credit memo preparation and Investment Committee materials.
- Assist in structuring bilateral and club financing solutions for private equity‑backed businesses.
- Monitor existing portfolio companies, including quarterly reviews, covenant analysis and performance tracking.
- Work closely with senior team members, private equity sponsors and management teams.
Candidate Profile
- 2-3 years of experience in investment banking (Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors, or Debt Advisory strongly preferred).
- Candidates from private credit, direct lending or other buyside credit roles will also be considered.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities with a deep understanding of credit fundamentals.
- Exposure to sponsor-backed transactions is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to operate in a fast‑paced, deal-focused environment.
- A team‑oriented mindset with strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity.
