Pricing Actuary, Objections, LTC In-force Management
Are you an experienced actuary passionate about solving complex pricing challenges in Long Term Care (LTC) insurance? Join a dynamic team focused on in-force rate action pricing initiatives that balance market demands with profitability and risk management goals.
Your Role
As an Associate Actuary, you'll support the development of objection responses and mentor actuarial students and analysts. You'll play a key role in shaping pricing strategies, engaging with regulators, and driving innovation in LTC actuarial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support objection responses to facilitate approval of in-force rate actions
- Provide mentorship and peer review for actuarial students and analysts
- Review LTC pricing projects and policy form filings
- Prepare exhibits for actuarial memoranda and assess technical aspects of policy forms
- Represent the organization in regulatory discussions
- Create innovative solutions to complex pricing challenges
- Build tools to support LTC product pricing
- Contribute to team knowledge on LTC product experience and original pricing assumptions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of actuarial experience; LTC experience preferred
- Career ASA, FSA
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SQL experience preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Experience with external-facing documents is a plus
