Position Summary

A growing actuarial consulting firm is seeking an experienced Property & Casualty Actuarial Consultant to support and expand its consulting practice. This role combines hands-on actuarial delivery with client-facing business development responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a technically strong P&C actuary with a proven ability to build relationships, generate revenue, and deliver high-quality consulting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Actuarial Consulting

  • Provide P&C actuarial services across pricing, reserving, capital modeling, underwriting support, and analytics
  • Develop actuarial analyses and models to support client decision-making
  • Translate complex quantitative results into clear, actionable business insights
  • Ensure work products meet professional standards, timelines, and quality expectations

Business Development & Client Management

  • Support and lead business development activities, including prospecting, proposal development, and client presentations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, reinsurers, MGAs, and insurtech clients
  • Identify opportunities to expand engagements and deepen client relationships
  • Partner with leadership to support growth initiatives and market expansion

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Mentor and review the work of junior actuarial staff
  • Contribute to internal process improvements, knowledge sharing, and best practices
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams as needed

Qualifications

  • ACAS or FCAS (or equivalent international designation)
  • 5+ years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience
  • Prior consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in client development, revenue growth, or relationship management
  • Strong technical background in one or more of the following: pricing, reserving, predictive analytics, capital modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance technical delivery with commercial objectives
