Overview
This role supports the operational backbone of a financial institution by ensuring that daily transaction activity, exception handling, and documentation processes run smoothly and in full compliance with regulatory expectations. The Specialist acts as a key resource to internal teams, branch staff, and external clients, helping maintain efficient and reliable banking operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and execute daily operational workflows while meeting deadlines and regulatory standards
- Adapt to evolving operational processes, including those involving emerging digital‑asset‑related services
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, partners, and clients to resolve operational issues
- Process a variety of transactions accurately and efficiently
- Support consumer banking products as well as newer financial technology offerings
- Perform document imaging and conduct quality reviews to ensure accuracy
- Review and decision exception items and assist with account research
- Process manual cash letters and non‑standard posting items
- Balance multiple time‑sensitive tasks and quickly adjust to shifting priorities
- Maintain and update procedures, playbooks, and knowledge‑base materials
- Apply structured problem‑solving to operational challenges while ensuring adherence to compliance requirements
- Track assigned projects from initiation through completion, providing timely updates
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of retail banking operations, compliance requirements, and branch‑level processes
- Client‑centric approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
- Ability to stay accurate under time pressure
- 3+ years of experience in banking operations or a related functional area
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and web-based tools
- Comfortable learning new banking systems and applications
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Strong communication skills, including active listening
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
