Middle Distillates Trader
Job Responsibilities
- Execute trades in physical and financial middle distillates across regional and global markets, including both spot and term contracts, with a dual focus on profitability and system optimization.
- Originate and manage commercial relationships with aviation sector clients, aiming to build consistent trading flow and optimize around it.
- Formulate and manage trading strategies and positions, leveraging both physical and financial instruments to enhance asset value and manage market exposure.
- Identify and develop arbitrage opportunities in collaboration with global commodity teams.
- Utilize corporate assets and market positioning to capitalize on trading opportunities and contribute to enterprise-wide earnings.
- Collaborate with market analysts to apply trading tools and methodologies for evaluating market dynamics and supply scenarios.
- Ensure all trading activities comply with internal governance frameworks, including delegated authorities and risk management protocols, while maintaining high operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in trading middle distillates, with strong exposure to both physical and financial markets.
- Proven track record in managing arbitrage flows across multiple regions and commodities.
- Ability to design and execute trading strategies across various time horizons and geographies.
- Strong decision-making skills based on market insights and enterprise value considerations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and teamwork capabilities.
- Deep understanding of supply and trading functions within large-scale corporate environments.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset and negotiation skills.
