Medical Economics Analyst

This driven company focuses on providing comprehensive and preventative care to vulnerable populations - those with complex health needs, including chronic conditions, behavioral health challenges, and social barriers.

As a Senior Medical Economics Analyst, you'll turn healthcare data into insights that help teams deliver better care. You'll work closely with clinical, pharmacy, and leadership teams to analyze data from electronic health records, pharmacy systems, and insurance claims. Your work will help shape decisions, improve patient outcomes, and support the company's mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data from EHRs, pharmacy systems, and health plans to track care outcomes.
  • Build and automate reports using tools like SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Collaborate with clinical and pharmacy teams to create custom reports and dashboards.
  • Translate business needs into clear data requirements and solutions.
  • Identify trends and opportunities through data mining and analysis.
  • Support leadership with ad-hoc and regular reporting.
  • Ensure data quality and clarity in all communications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in data, health, or related fields.
  • 3-5+ years working with healthcare data and reporting.
  • Experience with EHRs (eClinicalWorks a plus), pharmacy systems, and payer data.
  • Strong skills in SQL, Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft BI tools.
  • Bonus if you've worked with R, Python, or predictive analytics.
  • Comfortable working independently and juggling multiple priorities.
  • Clear communicator who can explain data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Passionate about using data to make a real difference in people's lives.
