A leading global quantitative investment business is looking to grow their Linux Market Data team! The firm itself develops and implements computer-driven trading strategies across a broad range of asset classes. The team is composed of researchers, data scientists, and technologists who apply rigorous scientific methods and advanced analytics to translate them into systematic investment strategies.
The team is looking for a Linux Market Data Support Engineer to join their dynamic Technology Infrastructure team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of supporting and evolving their Linux-based market data systems, ensuring high performance and reliability in a fast-paced, high-frequency trading environment. This is a full-time role, 4 days in-office role based in Manhattan.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support Linux (RHEL) and Market Data systems
- Manage infrastructure changes, upgrades, and migrations on co-located Linux servers
- Collaborate with vendors and exchanges on protocol upgrades and operational issues
- Analyze packet captures for data quality and performance
Requirements:
- 8+ years of Linux System Administration experience
- Background in a high-frequency trading environment
- Deep understanding of Market Data and third-party feed handlers
- Expertise in low-latency tuning and kernel bypass
- Proficiency with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting (Bash, Python)
- Familiarity with cloud services, CI/CD tools, and version control (Bitbucket, GitHub)
