M&A Investment Director | Private Equity Fund
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a seasoned M&A Investment Director to join our high-performing investment team. This role is ideal for professionals from top-tier USD primary market funds, senior leaders within TMT business lines, or secondary market investors looking to transition into primary market investing. The successful candidate will lead deal sourcing, execution, and portfolio management across high-growth sectors, with a strong emphasis on TMT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end execution of M&A transactions, including deal sourcing, due diligence, valuation, structuring, and negotiations.
- Develop and maintain deep industry insights, particularly in TMT, to identify strategic investment opportunities.
- Build and manage financial models and investment memos to support decision-making.
- Engage with founders, management teams, and external advisors to drive deal flow and post-investment value creation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and LPs to ensure alignment on investment strategy and performance.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the firm's thought leadership in sector coverage.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in investment roles, with at least 3 years at a USD-denominated primary market fund or equivalent.
- Senior-level experience in TMT business lines with strong commercial and strategic acumen.
- Candidates from secondary market with a strong investment track record and a clear motivation to transition into primary market investing are welcomed.
- Proven ability to lead complex transactions and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in Mandarin and English;
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or equivalent from a top-tier institution.
- CFA or other relevant certifications.
- Deep network within the TMT ecosystem and private equity community.
