Location: Düsseldorf or Hamburg

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Legal Counsel to join our team in Germany, supporting complex infrastructure and energy-related developments. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects across industrial and technology sectors, with a strong emphasis on construction, energy law, and procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support for infrastructure and energy-related developments, including drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), energy supply and grid connection, and renewable energy initiatives.
  • Advise on legal aspects of sustainability-driven projects such as solar installations, energy trading, electric mobility infrastructure, and heat recovery systems.
  • Monitor and interpret relevant legislation, regulatory changes, and industry trends, offering strategic legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Promote legal compliance and awareness across the organization through training and policy development.
  • Collaborate with external legal advisors to manage disputes and ensure cost-effective legal support.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across Germany and Europe, including technical development, asset management, and legal colleagues.

Your Profile:

  • Fully qualified German lawyer with strong expertise in contract, construction, and energy law.
  • Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in legal advisory roles, focused on construction law for large-scale infrastructure or technology projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex legal matters independently and work effectively in dynamic, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in German and English, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Germany and to European offices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
  • Passionate about sustainability and eager to contribute to forward-thinking projects.
