Lead Pricing Analyst - HH
Our client is a fast-growing UK insurer on a mission to lead the personal lines market. With recent acquisitions, the organisation is now on track to become the largest personal lines insurer in the UK. As a Lead Pricing Analyst, you'll play a key role in shaping pricing strategy and influencing business performance. You'll join a collaborative and forward-thinking household pricing team focusing , with the flexibility to work remotely or from offices in London, Eastleigh, or Bournemouth. Roles and Responsibilities
You'll lead pricing projects that directly impact the company's growth and profitability. This includes:
- Managing, developing, and coaching Pricing Analysts and Senior Analysts.
- Leading the development and validation of predictive and machine learning models.
- Delivering accurate data sets for modelling, pricing, and performance monitoring.
- Maintaining and deploying pricing models into live environments.
- Conducting pricing analyses and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Managing price control cycles and competitor analysis to optimise market positioning.
- Deputising for the Senior Pricing Manager when required.
Requirements
- A degree (or equivalent) in a numerical discipline.
- Experience in insurance pricing or a related analytic field (home pricing is a plus).
- Proficiency in data manipulation tools (e.g. SAS) and modelling techniques (GLMs, GBMs, GAMs, etc.).
- Experience with tools like Emblem, Radar, and programming languages such as R, Python, or Matlab.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex statistical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A proactive, self-motivated mindset with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Experience coaching junior staff and influencing senior stakeholders.
