Junior Risk Quant Pricing (m/f/d)
We are supporting a leading European energy company headquartered in Germany, operating at the heart of the gas and power markets. The organisation plays a key role in ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient energy supply across Europe. To strengthen its commercial analytics and pricing capabilities, we are looking for a skilled specialist to join the team.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the IT tools and processes that underpin the company's pricing workflows.
- Develop methodological risk models, primarily using Python, to support the valuation of electricity and/or gas supply contracts.
- Calculate electricity and/or gas costs for customised customer requests.
- Coordinate pricing concepts with internal stakeholders and represent analytical approaches across departments.
- Ensure alignment between product structures and pricing methodologies.
- Shape strategic pricing approaches including value creation logic, cost structures, and hedging strategies.
Your Profile
- University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in the energy market.
- Proven knowledge in developing statistical pricing models and simulation processes in the power market (ideally the German power market), and optionally the gas sector.
- Strong programming experience, preferably in Python; familiarity with development processes.
- Understanding of option pricing theory and time series analysis.
- Beneficial: experience with databases and SQL, as well as XML, JSON, unit testing, and build pipelines.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written) and good German skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
- High analytical capability, strong comprehension skills, and pronounced IT affinity.
- Independent, reliable, and well‑structured working style.
- Openness to working in an international environment.
