Junior Model Validator - eFX / eFI

A Tier 1 Investment Bank is looking for a Junior eFI/eFX Algorithmic Model Validator to support the independent review of its front‑office electronic trading models across Rates and FX. This role is ideal for early‑career quants who want to build deep expertise in electronic trading, model risk, and market microstructure while working alongside experienced validators, quants, and traders.

You will assist in validating the mathematical logic, implementation accuracy, and performance characteristics of the bank's execution algorithms. This includes helping to review pricing components, signal‑generation logic, market‑microstructure assumptions, and execution strategies used in electronic Rates and FX trading. You'll contribute to building simple challenger models, running statistical tests, analysing TCA outputs, and assessing how models behave under different market conditions.

A key part of the role involves supporting senior validators in documenting methodologies, identifying model weaknesses, and ensuring models meet internal governance and regulatory standards. You will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of electronic trading models-from initial design and implementation through to production behaviour and ongoing monitoring.

This position offers hands‑on experience with Python, quantitative analysis, and model‑risk frameworks, making it an excellent platform for someone looking to grow into a more senior validation or quant role. You'll work closely with Quant Research, Algo Trading, Technology, and Model Risk teams, giving you a broad understanding of how electronic trading models are built, tested, deployed, and controlled within a major global bank.

This is a rare opportunity for a junior quant to develop strong technical foundations, gain cross‑asset exposure, and contribute to the robustness of some of the industry's most sophisticated electronic trading models.
