Investment Banking VP - M&A & IPO

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of various investment banking transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private capital raising, initial public offerings, and follow-on offerings across Southeast Asia.
  • Oversee the full transaction lifecycle, identifying critical issues and crafting practical solutions to ensure successful deal outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and industry professionals in the region, acting as a key point of contact.
  • Support senior bankers in preparing and delivering pitch materials and presentations during deal origination efforts.
  • Engage with regulators, investors, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction process, including due diligence, financial analysis, and addressing deal-related queries.
  • Supervise and mentor junior bankers, ensuring high-quality output and professional development.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and potential deal opportunities in Southeast Asia's capital markets.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum of 6 years of investment banking experience, specifically within the Singapore market.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, both quantitative and qualitative, with solid expertise in financial modeling and accounting principles.
  • Deep understanding of capital markets and hands-on experience executing M&A and IPO deals in Singapore.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex transactions, coordinate multiple workstreams, and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Business development mindset with a proactive approach to sourcing new opportunities.
  • Highly driven, dependable, and capable of managing competing priorities under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Committed to high standards of professionalism and ethical behavior.
  • Fluency in English is required; Mandarin proficiency is strongly preferred.
