Overview:
A Middle-Market investment banking and advisory firm headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland is seeking a highly driven Vice President to join its growing Capital Advisory practice. The firm specializes in mergers and acquisitions, distressed advisory, business valuations, and capital-raising transactions across a wide range of industries. The Vice President will lead transaction execution, manage client relationships, and help drive business development initiatives as a senior member of the deal team.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Execution

  • Lead all phases of M&A and capital markets engagements, including due diligence, financial analysis, document drafting, and deal structuring.
  • Oversee the preparation of marketing materials such as information memoranda, management presentations, confidential financial models, and buyer/investor lists.
  • Coordinate communication among clients, buyers, investors, legal advisors, accountants, and other stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle.
  • Guide analysts and associates to ensure accuracy and timeliness in deliverables, including financial modeling, valuation analyses, and industry research.

Client & Relationship Management

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing strategic guidance, process planning, and real-time problem solving.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with business owners, private equity firms, lenders, and strategic buyers.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, site visits, and negotiation sessions.

Business Development

  • Support senior leadership in generating new advisory opportunities through networking, industry outreach, and thought leadership.
  • Assist in proposal development, pitch preparation, and market positioning activities.
  • Contribute to firmwide initiatives to expand brand presence and industry coverage.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, or related financial services.
  • Strong background in deal execution, financial modeling, corporate finance, and valuation methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information for business owners and executive teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA, or related advanced credentials preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a client-centered mindset
