Investment Banking Vice President
This client is a leading independent investment bank specializing in providing strategic advisory services to clients across various industries. The Infrastructure, Power, Renewable (IPR) team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results through innovative solutions and deep industry expertise.
They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Banking VP to join their IPR team in NYC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sell-side M&A transactions, with a proven track record of managing deals from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the origination and execution of complex sell-side M&A transactions, overseeing all phases from initial pitch through closing.
- Drive the development of client deliverables, including strategic presentations, valuation analyses, and transaction marketing materials.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to associates and analysts, ensuring high-quality execution and professional development.
- Manage client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the transaction life-cycle.
- Oversee due diligence processes, coordinating with internal teams, clients, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Negotiate key transaction terms and support senior leadership in finalizing deal structures and closing documentation.
- Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and participating in client meetings.
Qualifications (Vice President Level):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 6-10 years of experience in investment banking, with a strong track record of leading sell-side M&A transactions in the Infrastructure, Power, Renewables spaces
- Deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and transaction structuring.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead deal teams in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities, with a focus on mentoring junior team members.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
