Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading Consumer Boutique Investment Bank with a 30-year track record of advising consumer brands and digital businesses on high-impact M&A and Capital Markets transactions. This lean team operates on a global scale, focusing Consumer Goods and Digitial Businesses. They looking to expand their footprint by bringing an Investment Banking Managing Director with experience in Personal Care, Luxury Goods, or Food and Beverage to join their team.
Ideal candidates are current Investment Banking Managing Directors focused on Personal Care, Food and Beverage, or Luxury goods with book of business capable of generating $1.5MM+ in revenue/year, and located in or open to relocating to Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Originate and lead M&A and growth transactions in the consumer sector.
- Develop and maintain relationships with founders, private equity firms, and strategic buyers.
- Drive business development efforts and oversee deal execution, including structuring, negotiation, and closing.
- Mentor and manage junior bankers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of investment banking or advisory experience, with a strong focus on consumer sector M&A.
- Established network of consumer brands, investors, and strategic buyers as well as a book of business.
- Proven ability to originate and close transactions independently.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a boutique environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
