Investment Banking Consumer Associate II

A leading independent investment bank is seeking an Investment Banking Associate 2 to join its Consumer team in New York. The team advises a broad range of corporate and private equity clients across the consumer landscape and is involved in executing complex M&A transactions.

Responsibilities

• Execute M&A transactions from initial marketing through closing.
• Develop and oversee detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch books, board materials, and marketing documents.
• Manage due diligence processes and coordinate with clients, counterparties, and advisors.
• Lead day-to-day transaction execution while mentoring analysts and junior team members.
• Conduct industry and company research across a variety of consumer sectors.
• Support business development initiatives and new client engagements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of investment banking experience, ideally with M&A transaction execution experience.
• Current Investment Banking Associate or recently promoted Senior Analyst at a leading investment bank.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and LBO analysis.
• Experience managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills.
• Demonstrated interest in the Consumer sector.
