Position Overview
The firm is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate with a strong foundation in M&A execution and deep familiarity with the technology sector. The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience running deal processes, managing analysts, building trusted client relationships, and delivering high‑quality work in fast‑paced environments. This role is ideal for someone looking to take on greater responsibility and work directly with senior bankers and founders on complex, high‑impact transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day execution of M&A and strategic advisory transactions across the technology landscape.
- Prepare and oversee the creation of financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, comps, precedent transactions), and detailed transaction materials.
- Manage analysts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and high analytical standards.
- Drive due diligence processes, coordinating with clients, buyers/investors, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct in‑depth industry and company research to support pitch materials and strategic recommendations.
- Support senior bankers in developing client relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
- Present insights and deal updates to internal teams and external clients.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of investment banking experience, ideally at a technology-focused boutique or middle‑market bank.
- Strong M&A deal execution experience, with demonstrated ability to run workstreams independently.
- Deep understanding of technology business models and industry trends (e.g., SaaS metrics, recurring revenue models, unit economics).
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to senior executives.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, lean‑team environment.
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; MBA a plus but not required.
