Overview
A leading global financial institution is seeking an experienced institutional salesperson to drive coverage of insurance clients across the DACH region, with a particular focus on Germany and France.
This role will be responsible for originating and executing business across a broad suite of investment solutions, including alternative funds, private markets, direct lending, and corporate finance opportunities. The successful candidate will leverage deep relationships within the insurance sector to deliver tailored investment solutions and expand market share across key European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead coverage and relationship management for insurance clients across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, with selective focus on France
- Originate and execute new business across:
- Alternative investments (private credit, private equity, infrastructure)
- Direct lending strategies
- Traditional and liquid funds
- Corporate finance / structured financing solutions
- Develop and implement a targeted client strategy focused on key insurance groups and asset managers within the DACH region
- Drive revenue generation through cross-selling a broad multi-asset platform
- Partner closely with internal teams across investment management, structuring, credit, and distribution to deliver bespoke client solutions
- Maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and manage the full sales lifecycle, from origination through execution
- Represent the firm in the market, enhancing visibility within the European insurance investment community
Candidate Profile
- Extensive experience in institutional sales, insurance coverage, or capital markets distribution
- Proven track record selling investment solutions to insurance clients, particularly within Germany and/or France
- Strong understanding of:
- Insurance regulatory and balance sheet considerations (e.g., Solvency II)
- Alternative investments and private markets
- Credit and structured finance solutions
- Established relationships with key insurance clients across the DACH region
- Demonstrated ability to originate and execute complex transactions
- Commercial mindset with strong client engagement and influencing skills
- Ability to operate across a multi-product platform and coordinate internal stakeholders
