Healthcare Equity Analyst
Selby Jennings has partnered with a high performing Hong Kong-based long-biased hedge fund, well known for its China-thematic investment strategy with a global macro overlay, in seeking a talented Healthcare Equity Analyst to join its investment team.
This role will focus on the Healthcare sector across global markets, with a tilt towards Greater China. The successful candidate will leverage deep sector expertise to generate differentiated investment ideas and contribute meaningfully to portfolio performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth fundamental research on Healthcare sector across global markets with a tilt towards Greater China
- Develop and present long/short investment ideas with clear catalysts and valuation frameworks
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and macro factors impacting the sector
- Collaborate closely with the CIO and investment team to refine investment theses and portfolio positioning
- Participate in risk management and portfolio construction discussions
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in buyside equity research and investment function
- Buyside experience is strongly preferred, ideally with exposure to fundamental long/short
- Relevant coverage experience and strong expertise in covering the Healthcare equity space
- Fluency in Chinese preferred, but not a must
- Analytical, driven, and passionate about research / investment in the Healthcare sector
