Head of Sales Trading - Crypto
Role Summary
Seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales Trading to lead our Hong Kong-based trading desk. This role will oversee execution trading, manage a high-performing team, and drive strategic growth in the Hong Kong market. The ideal candidate will bring deep market knowledge, technical proficiency, and leadership experience in crypto or traditional finance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the OTC sales trading desk, ensuring efficient execution and client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement trading strategies tailored to the Hong Kong market.
- Oversee team performance, mentoring junior traders and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Collaborate with product development teams to enhance trading tools and client offerings.
- Maintain strong relationships with institutional clients and counterparties.
- Ensure compliance with SFC regulations and internal risk management policies.
- Monitor market trends and provide insights to senior leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in sales trading, preferably in crypto or traditional finance.
- Proven team management experience.
- Strong understanding of OTC trading, market structure, and execution strategies.
- Proficiency in VBA and Python for trading automation and analytics.
- Holder of a Type 1 SFC license (or eligible to obtain).
- Fluent in English and Mandarin; Japanese is a plus.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in crypto markets or digital asset trading.
- Familiarity with trading platforms and APIs.
- Strong client network in Hong Kong and broader APAC region.
