Full Stack Developer (.NET / Python)
Selby Jennings is partnering with a leading alternative asset manager focused on credit and structured finance investments that is looking to add an experienced Full Stack Developer to its front office technology team. This individual will play a key role in designing and developing scalable applications that support trading, investment research, analytics, and business-critical workflows. The position offers direct interaction with investment professionals and provides the opportunity to build technology solutions that drive business outcomes in a fast-paced financial environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain front office applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability
- Partner with business users, investment professionals, and technology teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
- Build and support full stack applications utilizing modern software development frameworks and best practices
- Contribute to code quality initiatives including testing, code reviews, documentation, and CI/CD processes
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve business workflows and operational efficiency
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term technology strategy
- Develop a strong understanding of financial markets, investment processes, and valuation workflows to support business needs
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong programming experience with C#/.NET and/or Python
- Experience building scalable enterprise applications and distributed systems
- Proficiency with modern front-end technologies including Angular, React, or Vue
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services, and full stack application architecture
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-based development environments
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, source control, and software development best practices
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Prior experience within financial services, capital markets, asset management, trading technology, or investment platforms is highly preferred
- Exposure to valuation systems, front office technology, or financial analytics is a plus
