Finance Manager | Family Office
Our client is a private single family office in Hong Kong that is hiring its first dedicated Finance Manager.
This is a standalone, hands on position working closely with the COO. It's a good opportunity for someone who enjoys having ownership rather than sitting within a large finance team. This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who wants to build out a finance function from the ground up, work directly with senior management and have genuine ownership of how things are done.
What does the role involve?
* Day to day accounting and bookkeeping across the family office and investment entities
* Management accounts, financial statements and expense reporting
* Payments, cash management, budgeting and forecasting
* Coordinating audit and tax matters with external advisers
* Managing NAV and portfolio reporting with third party administrators and service providers rather than calculating NAV in house
* Helping implement a new accounting system and improving existing finance processes
What experience do you need?
* Family office, investment management, fund or similar financial services experience
* Strong hands on accounting knowledge
* Comfortable working independently as the sole finance person
* Experience managing external auditors, tax advisers and fund administrators
* Practical, organised and comfortable working in a small family office environment
