Position Overview:
The firm is looking to bring on an Equity Trader that has strong execution and risk management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute long and short equity trades and execute trades aligned with the fund's long-term core positions, scaling in as conviction builds among the PM and investment team
- Monitor and manage factor exposures and thematic risks
- Utilize customized swap baskets, pairwise shorts and thematic hedges to manage risk, particularly during periods of heightened market volatility.
- Evaluate hedging ideas around macro events when such strategies align with overall portfolio views and risk reward
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years in long/short equity execution roles, with experience in factor-aware trade execution, customized baskets and position scaling
- Strong understanding of portfolio construction, factor and exposure management, VaR, stress testing and liquidity risk
- Deep understanding of market structure
- Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL; comfortable working with internal tools and supporting data-driven decision-making
- Track record of executing efficiently and consistently across strategies and accounts
- Practical knowledge of options for hedging and tactical use cases
