Summary
A global financial services organization is seeking a senior equity focused specialist to support institutional client engagement across benchmark and index based solutions. This role sits within the commercial organization and works in close partnership with sales, product, and research teams to support complex client opportunities.
The position is sales adjacent rather than quota carrying, designed for someone who acts as the subject‑matter expert in client discussions, helping drive adoption and strategic use of equity index solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the equity index and benchmark specialist supporting institutional client engagements alongside senior sales coverage.
- Participate directly in client meetings to lead discussions on benchmark selection, index construction, methodology, and portfolio applications.
- Support opportunity progression by providing technical and strategic expertise throughout the sales cycle.
- Partner closely with internal product and research teams to align client needs with existing and future index capabilities.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in equities, index strategy, benchmarks, or related institutional financial services roles.
- Strong understanding of equity index methodologies and their application in institutional portfolios.
- Prior experience in a client facing, specialist, or sales adjacent role supporting sophisticated institutional clients.
- Experience working with asset managers, asset owners, banks, or ETF issuers preferred.
