Equity Research Specialist - US Tech (Hardware Focus)
My client seeking a highly motivated and experienced Equity Research Specialist to join their team, with a focus on the US Technology sector, particularly hardware companies. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, deep sector knowledge, and the ability to independently produce high-quality research reports and maintain coverage of assigned companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth equity research and financial analysis on US-listed technology companies, with a focus on hardware.
- Independently initiate and maintain coverage of companies, including writing detailed reports, earnings previews/reviews, and thematic pieces.
- Build and maintain financial models, perform valuation analysis, and monitor industry trends.
- Engage with company management, industry experts, and other stakeholders to gather insights and validate research.
- Collaborate with sales and trading teams to communicate investment ideas and respond to client inquiries.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in the US tech sector, ideally with a focus on hardware (semiconductors, consumer electronics, networking equipment, etc.).
- Proven ability to write clear, insightful, and well-structured research reports independently.
- Excellent financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities.
- CFA designation or progress toward it is a plus.
