Position Overview
A leading global bank is seeking a dynamic and experienced Equity Derivatives Trader to join its expanding New York trading desk. This role is suited for a candidate with 4-5 years of experience in equity derivatives, particularly in flow trading of index and S&P options. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth of the U.S. trading platform and manage risk locally within a globally integrated framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and manage flow trading strategies focused on vanilla index options, primarily S&P derivatives.
- Collaborate with the existing Index Trader to enhance trading coverage and client service.
- Contribute to the development and execution of Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) and hedging solutions.
- Monitor volatility and market flows to inform trading decisions and optimize performance.
- Manage risk locally under a global mandate, operating within defined delta and vega limits.
- Support business development efforts by engaging with institutional clients, including insurance companies and pension funds.
- Partner with structuring and sales teams to support product innovation and client onboarding.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 4-5 years in equity derivatives trading, ideally with flow trading exposure.
- Education: Strong academic background in finance, mathematics, engineering, or related fields.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in options and futures markets.
- Strong risk management and analytical capabilities.
- Quantitative flair is a plus, especially for QIS-related strategies.
