eFX Quant Researcher
Location: London
A tier 1 global investment bank is expanding its electronic FX business and is seeking an Associate / AVP level Quantitative Researcher to join its Swaps & Forwards team. The desk is currently undergoing one of the most ambitious build‑outs in the market, offering a rare opportunity to join during a period of rapid growth. Although the role is research‑focused, you will work closely with trading, gaining direct exposure to the desk.
What you'll work on
You will contribute to the full research and development life cycle, including:
- Building and enhancing e‑pricing algorithms for FX swaps and forwards
- Researching and developing signals and systematic trading strategies (e.g., market‑making, spread strategies, auto‑quoting)
- Designing and improving auto‑hedging algorithms
- Developing tools to improve execution quality and pricing robustness
What they're looking for
- 1+ years' experience in a quant research or trading position (experience in FX, Rates or Credit preferred but not required)
- Advanced degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or similar STEM fields
- Python programming proficiency is required; Java is a plus
- Experience with market‑making strategies is beneficial
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working closely with traders and technologists
