Director, Esoteric ABS Origination
We are partnering with a leading global investment bank to hire a Director within its Esoteric ABS platform, focused on origination. This role sits within a growing team covering a range of esoteric asset classes, with a strong emphasis on digital infrastructure, energy, music royalties, and other asset classes.
Responsibilities
- Originate and execute new business across esoteric ABS and related lending products, with a focus on data centers, aircraft, fiber, and other hard asset sectors
- Develop and manage relationships with sponsors, issuers, and financial sponsors to drive deal flow
- Lead structuring and negotiation of term sheets, working closely with credit, syndicate, and legal through execution
- Partner with coverage and product teams to identify new opportunities and expand into adjacent asset classes
- Drive both securitization and lending solutions including warehouse facilities, bridge loans, and term ABS
Mentor junior team members and support overall deal execution process
- 10+ years of experience within ABS Banking, Structured Finance, or Esoteric Origination
- Strong track record of originating and executing across esoteric asset classes, ideally including data centers, aircraft, or digital infrastructure
- Experience leading client relationships and sourcing new opportunities directly with sponsors and issuers
- Solid understanding of both securitization and lending structures
Ability to operate in a senior, client facing role while remaining hands on in execution
- Team is well established with strong deal flow and senior coverage support
- Role is focused on expanding origination efforts across high growth esoteric sectors
- Platform offers a more flexible environment to drive transactions without the bottlenecks seen at some larger institutions
