VP/Director of Capital Formation (Real Estate) - Fort Lauderdale, FL

A growing real estate investment firm with approximately $5B in assets under management, focused on acquiring and operating a diversified portfolio of properties across the United States is currently looking to bring on a VP/Director of Capital Formation to focus on capital formation, investor coverage, and business development, with the opportunity to build out a region and play a meaningful role in the firm's continued growth.

The Director of Capital Formation will be responsible for:

  • Leading capital raising efforts for current and future investment vehicles
  • Building and managing relationships across:
    • Institutional investors
    • Family offices
    • RIAs and private wealth platforms
    • High-net-worth individuals (HNW)
  • Developing and executing a regional coverage strategy across South Florida and LATAM
  • Originating new investor relationships and expanding the firm's investor network
  • Driving fundraising conversations across both institutional and wealth channels
  • Partnering closely with senior leadership on fundraising strategy and investor engagement
  • Representing the firm in investor meetings, conferences, and roadshows
  • Delivering clear, compelling messaging around the firm's strategy, platform, and performance

The Director of Capital Formation should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in capital raising, investor relations, or business development within private equity, real estate, or alternative asset management
  • A demonstrated track record of raising capital or directly contributing to fundraising efforts
  • An established investor network / rolodex, including:
    • Institutional investors
    • Private wealth channels (RIAs, private banks, HNW)
    • Exposure to Latin American investors (strongly preferred)
  • Fluency in Spanish required
  • Strong understanding of alternative investments and capital markets
  • Real estate experience preferred but not required
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and own a coverage region
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage sophisticated investors
