Job Overview:
A leading real estate private equity firm focused on multifamily investments is seeking a Director of Capital Formation to raise capital from HNW/UHNW individuals, family offices, and wealth intermediaries. The ideal candidate will have experience raising capital directly from investors for real estate products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead capital‑raising efforts targeting HNW/UHNW individuals, family offices, and wealth intermediaries.
- Build and expand a relationship-driven network of private wealth investors interested in multifamily real estate.
- Drive capital commitments for ongoing multifamily acquisitions, development opportunities, and fund structures.
- Conduct investor presentations covering market trends, underwriting assumptions, track records, and deal-specific opportunities.
- Serve as a consistent point of contact for investor questions, due diligence, and ongoing communication.
- Translate complex multifamily investment structures, returns, and risk factors into clear, compelling investor narratives.
- Enhance CRM management, investor onboarding processes, and scalable communication systems.
- Partner with leadership to refine the firm's capital markets strategy and investor value proposition.
- Represent the firm at investor conferences, regional private wealth gatherings, and multifamily real estate events.
Job Qualifications:
- 8+ years of capital raising, investor relations, private wealth management, or real estate private equity experience.
- Demonstrated ability to raise capital from private wealth investors or family offices.
- Strong understanding of multifamily real estate fundamentals - acquisition, underwriting, operations, and returns.
- Established network of accredited or institutional‑grade private investors (highly preferred).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
