Director - Capital Formation | Private Markets
Overview:
A global investment management firm with over $40 billion in assets under management is seeking a seasoned Business Development professional to join its expanding team in Dubai. This is a high-impact role suited to a strategic thinker with a proven track record in fundraising, investor engagement, and leadership within private markets. The successful candidate will be a polished communicator, confident in managing relationships with top-tier institutional investors across geographies. They will play a pivotal role in driving capital formation and deepening LP relationships across the firm's global platform.
Responsibilities:
- Lead targeted outreach to prospective LPs across the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, guiding them through the fundraising lifecycle.
- Collaborate with senior leadership on fundraising strategy, messaging, and execution across multiple fund vintages.
- Maintain and grow a robust pipeline of institutional investors aligned with the firm's long-term capital raising goals.
- Partner with placement agents and internal teams to optimize fundraising efforts and expand coverage in underrepresented regions.
- Represent the firm at key investor meetings, conferences, and industry events.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 year's experience in investor relations, fundraising, or capital formation within private equity, private credit, or alternative investments.
- Demonstrated success in securing commitments from institutional investors.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Professional fluency in English is required; fluency in Arabic or another major language is a strong advantage.
- Experience working in multicultural environments or across geographies is highly desirable.
