Delivery Lead - Rates | London | Leading Global Bank
Our client, a leading European bank with a global footprint, is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Delivery Lead in London to join their global team and drive the expansion of their cutting-edge electronic trading platform for Rates. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-performing team at the forefront of financial markets technology, delivering impactful solutions. If you're passionate about agile delivery, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have deep domain knowledge in Rates and Derivatives, this could be your next big move.
You'll be leading the delivery of a strategic in-house platform used by Sales and Trading for pricing and execution, replacing legacy systems with modern, API-driven solutions. The focus is on pre-deal electronic applications, supporting the bank's transition to modern technologies and building capabilities around it. This is not just a project management role, it's about owning the delivery, coordinating cross-functional squads, and being the face of technology to senior stakeholders, including desk heads and quant teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead agile delivery across multiple teams (BA, QA, Devs, Product Managers) with full ownership from requirements to deployment.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across business, strategy, and quant groups to shape and steer delivery.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in delivery practices.
- Coordinate releases and ensure alignment across Rates squads.
- Contribute to road map planning and high-level updates - not just tracking tasks but shaping outcomes.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of technology delivery experience in financial markets, ideally within Rates, FX, Commodities or Credit.
- Strong understanding of derivatives, pricing models, and trade life-cycle.
- Experience with Sales Dealer and Pricing platforms, and interfacing with quant libraries.
- Technical fluency - you won't be coding, but you'll need to have a good surface-level understanding of the tech ecosystem (Java, React, Haskell, messaging formats, and databases, e.g. Cassandra, Oracle).
- Proven ability to lead agile teams and deliver complex programmes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Certifications like Scrum Master, Product Owner or PMP are a plus.
