Cyber Security DLP Specialist (AI-Enabled Data Protection)
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and utilise AI-enabled security capabilities to enhance DLP monitoring, alert prioritisation, behavioural analysis, and internal data leakage investigations.
- Assess how machine learning and analytics can improve the identification of anomalous data movement and reduce false-positive DLP alerts.
- Work with vendors and internal technology teams to assess AI-enabled features within DLP, insider-risk, SIEM, and user-behaviour analytics platforms.
- Define functional requirements for AI-assisted data protection capabilities and provide clear implementation requests to IT and security engineering teams.
- Validate whether AI-generated findings and risk indicators are accurate, explainable, and appropriate for use in employee-related investigations.
- Assess data leakage risks arising from employees uploading sensitive information, intellectual property, source code, or confidential documents into external generative AI and Large Language Model platforms.
- Develop and maintain controls governing the use of public and enterprise AI tools to prevent unauthorised disclosure of proprietary information.
Requirements
- Practical experience using or evaluating AI-enabled DLP, insider-risk, behavioural analytics, or security-monitoring solutions.
- Strong understanding of the data leakage and intellectual-property risks associated with generative AI and Large Language Model platforms.
- Ability to translate AI-related data protection risks into DLP policies, monitoring requirements, and implementation requests for technical teams.
