Join our Structured Credit team as an Associate, specializing in commercial real estate (CRE) and CMBS underwriting, valuation, and ongoing surveillance. The role demands agility in handling high-volume property reviews while also diving deep into complex, distressed assets across office, hospitality, and multifamily sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and underwrite CRE assets, assessing cash flows, market dynamics, and tenant profiles.
- Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing on CMBS exposures.
- Draft credit memos with actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, risk, and compliance teams.
- Monitor CMBS performance and maintain active surveillance.
- Stay informed on market shifts, regulatory updates, and CRE trends.
- Review loan files, appraisals, and financial documents for accuracy and risk assessment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, real estate, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in CRE finance, CMBS underwriting, or credit analysis.
- Strong grasp of CRE fundamentals and valuation techniques.
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including stress testing.
- Detail-oriented with strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
- Clear communicator with the ability to distill complex data.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Argus, CoStar, RCA is a plus.
