C++ Engineer - Hardware Systems

We are hiring a C++ engineer to join a high-performance engineering team for a Trading Firm focused on building and optimizing systems that operate at the limits of hardware performance. This team sits at the intersection of software, hardware, and compute infrastructure, where microseconds matter and efficiency directly impacts outcomes.

This is a highly technical role suited for engineers who enjoy working close to the hardware, optimizing performance, and solving complex systems problems from first principles.

What You'll Do

  • Design and build high-performance C++ systems optimized for low latency and efficient resource utilization
  • Work close to the hardware, including memory management, concurrency, and data movement across CPU/GPU/NPU systems
  • Optimize systems at a microsecond level, improving throughput, latency, and overall performance
  • Develop frameworks and infrastructure to support workload distribution, processing pipelines, and compute offloading
  • Analyze bottlenecks across systems and implement low-level optimizations (cache usage, memory allocation, threading)
  • Collaborate with hardware, ML, and systems engineers to build integrated high-performance solutions
  • Contribute to architectural decisions around scalable, high-throughput computing systems

What We're Looking For

  • Strong C++ experience with a focus on systems-level programming
  • Background in high-performance computing (HPC), distributed systems, or low-latency environments
  • Deep understanding of memory management, multithreading, and performance optimization
  • Experience working close to hardware (CPU, GPU, NPU, or custom accelerators)
  • Ability to analyze and optimize systems at a low-level (microseconds, memory, data flow)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in performance-critical environments
  • Exposure to machine learning systems or inference optimization
  • Background in computer architecture or operating systems
  • Familiarity with Python for tooling, testing, or ML workflows
