Senior Corporate Tax Manager | Role Overview
This role is accountable for managing tax compliance and provisions across regional entities. The scope includes direct and indirect taxation, transfer pricing, tax disputes, and governance. The position also focuses on building and implementing effective processes and controls, while driving strategic tax initiatives that enable business growth throughout the region. Close collaboration with finance, accounting, and other key stakeholders is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of tax compliance for APAC, including corporate tax, GST/VAT, withholding tax, and related obligations.
- Provide expert tax guidance and advisory support to internal teams.
- Partner with functions such as Accounting, Legal, Treasury, and Operations to execute and safeguard tax and non-tax initiatives.
- Lead or contribute to regional and global tax projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic changes, market entry strategies, and organizational restructuring.
- Work with international teams to enhance tax controls, policies, and operational processes.
- Track and analyze legislative developments, assessing their impact on the organization.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the reporting manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of relevant tax experience.
- Strong ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity.
- Proactive, adaptable, independent, and resilient with a growth mindset.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build relationships across diverse cultures and stakeholder groups.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with creative thinking ability.
- Motivated by challenges and committed to delivering value.
- Immediate availability preferred, though all qualified candidates will be considered.
Preferred Experience
- Regional and international tax exposure.
- Expertise beyond corporate tax (e.g., transfer pricing, GST/VAT, withholding tax, tax planning, customs duties).
- Experience handling tax matters in a commercial environment.
- Familiarity with e-commerce, supply chain, or fashion industries.
- Knowledge of tax governance frameworks and control structures.
