Overview:
A leading RIA firm is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Controller to join its growing finance team. This is a fully remote opportunity for a strategic finance professional with a strong foundation in public accounting and deep expertise in the wealth management space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the firm.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to support strategic financial planning and decision-making.
- Implement and optimize accounting systems and processes tailored to the RIA environment.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure regulatory compliance.
Qualifications:
- CPA required.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience, including time at a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Prior experience as a Controller or senior finance leader within an RIA or wealth management firm is essential.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting (if applicable), and industry-specific financial operations.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage) and financial modeling tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a remote setting.
