About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and rapidly growing manufacturing company based in Lubbock, Texas, is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join their team. This is a critical leadership role for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is passionate about driving the accounting and operational efficiency
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance and safeguard company assets.
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to executive leadership.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to align financial goals with production efficiency.
- Manage external audits and ensure timely tax filings and regulatory compliance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 5-7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and ERP systems.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a small finance team.
