Causalty Claims Examiner
A growing insurance organization is seeking a Casualty Claims Examiner to join its claims team. This individual will be responsible for handling a caseload of complex casualty claims from initial assignment through resolution, ensuring timely investigations, accurate coverage analysis, appropriate reserving, and effective claim outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage casualty claims including bodily injury, general liability, and other liability exposures.
- Conduct investigations, evaluate coverage, determine liability, and establish appropriate reserves.
- Collaborate with claimants, insureds, attorneys, vendors, and other stakeholders throughout the claims process.
- Direct litigation strategy and work closely with defense counsel on litigated matters.
- Evaluate damages, negotiate settlements, and recommend claim resolutions within assigned authority.
- Maintain detailed claim documentation and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and address potential coverage, fraud, and subrogation issues.
Qualifications
- Casualty claims handling experience.
- Background managing moderate to complex liability claims.
- Strong understanding of coverage analysis, investigations, reserving, and claim negotiations.
- Experience handling litigated files and partnering with defense counsel.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
