Selby Jennings is proud to partner with a leading broker seeking a Catastrophe Modelling Manager to join its expanding analytics team. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the catastrophe modelling function within a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
You'll work across property and speciality lines, supporting reinsurance placements, portfolio reviews, and client advisory. The role involves developing broking packs, automating workflows, and presenting insights to senior stakeholders. You'll also collaborate with research teams and contribute to regulatory reporting and model evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver catastrophe modelling analysis and client insights
- Build and optimise modelling workflows and reporting tools
- Present risk insights to brokers, clients, and reinsurers
- Support regulatory reporting and model evaluation
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to strategy and innovation
Requirements:
- Extensive CAT modelling experience (RMS/Verisk)
- Strong Excel and SQL skills; Python/R desirable
- Solid understanding of reinsurance structures and risk transfer
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
